Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Luiz Gustavo Barral kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the match, Itajobi SC's goal looked a bit too open when Víktor Netto came free, but Cafu Cosme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Itajobi SC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 7th minute. Penalty! 14 minutes into the match, Gymirim's Luiz Gustavo Barral sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cafu Cosme narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Víktor Netto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gymirim's supporters rose to their feet, but Víktor Netto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cafu Cosme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 22nd match minute, Gymirim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dalmo Freire to maneuver through the defense. Zé Carlos Cabral was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Nelsinho Vargas. Luiz Gustavo Barral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Cafu Cosme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 26 played minutes Gymirim got a freekick which was hit by Alessandro Bueno. After a defensive mix-up in Gymirim's zone, Jardel Fontes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Carlos Cabral came out of the goal and Jardel Fontes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eduardo Freitas hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Jardel Fontes took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zé Carlos Cabral. Zé Carlos Cabral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Víktor Netto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cafu Cosme read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. In the 39th minute Wesley Albuquerque shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Carlos Cabral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Víktor Netto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cafu Cosme having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wesley Albuquerque to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Jardel Fontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Carlos Cabral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gymirim's goalkeeper Zé Carlos Cabral, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Wesley Albuquerque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wesley Albuquerque received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Zé Carlos Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 79 minutes into the game, Wesley Albuquerque cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Zé Carlos Cabral was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Luiz Gustavo Barral fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gymirim's protests and gave Luiz Gustavo Barral a yellow card for diving instead. Cafu Cosme made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Víktor Netto sent off a good shot on target. Itajobi SC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nelsinho Vargas in the 93rd minute. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Tadeu Trigo advanced and headed the ball into goal, 4-1 in the 93rd minute. Gymirim's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
