When Benedito da Silveira came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Chanchosos & Honestos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benedito da Silveira couldn't finish the play. Hamílton Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Velloso having to interfere. Abel Velloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marquinhos Palmeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. The supporters of Chanchosos & Honestos booed when Voltas EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caco Quirino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benedito da Silveira in the 17thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eurico Almeida, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Marquinhos Palmeira sped through Chanchosos & Honestos's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Abel Velloso. Rogério Sergipano charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Hamílton Queirós might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Abel Velloso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hamílton Queirós ran back to his position shaking his head. If Hamílton Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Marquinhos Palmeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 53rd minute, Marquinhos Palmeira fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Abel Velloso, passed just outside the right post. 60 minutes in the game, Marquinhos Palmeira fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Abel Velloso having to interfere. Hamílton Queirós came free with the goalkeeper in the 61st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Abel Velloso could save by the left post. After 71 played minutes Chanchosos & Honestos got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Saldanha. Fernandinho Moura was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 72nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Abel Velloso made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Hamílton Queirós sent off a good shot on target. In the 94th minute, Hamílton Queirós got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Voltas EC's goalkeeper Eurico Almeida, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hamílton Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Abel Velloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
