The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Chanchosos & Honestos booed when Andreza SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldinho Batista didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abel Velloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guga Santana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Guga Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute of the match Ruy Pernambucano sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abel Velloso skillfully saved the ball. Guga Santana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Abel Velloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abel Velloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yuri Leite in the 23rd minute of the match. Yuri Leite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Velloso having to interfere. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chanchosos & Honestos's goalkeeper Abel Velloso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Andreza SS booed when Chanchosos & Honestos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogério Sergipano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute Guga Santana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Velloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Yuri Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute, Yuri Leite ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abel Velloso was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 36 minutes into the match, Chanchosos & Honestos's Cleiton Alagoano broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Guga Santana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benedito da Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurinho Pontes having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Andreza SS's goalkeeper Maurinho Pontes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benedito da Silveira. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yuri Leite stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Luiz Neves came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Chanchosos & Honestos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Neves couldn't finish the play. If Luiz Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Yuri Leite came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Andreza SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yuri Leite couldn't finish the play. Guga Santana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Velloso having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedito da Silveira in the 76th minute of play forced Andreza SS's goalkeeper Maurinho Pontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Chanchosos & Honestos's Benedito da Silveira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maurinho Pontes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Yuri Leite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th minute, Yuri Leite got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Guga Santana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Velloso having to interfere.
