Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Ara's Miguel de Brito started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Patrick Neiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel de Brito, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Marquinhos de Senna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Noel Correia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. José Vítor Campidelis scored 1-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Patrick Neiva, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Miguel de Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Patrick Neiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Marcus de Souza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ara fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 23rd minute. Penalty! After 25 minutes of play, Farinha's Eugênio Severo made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Noel Correia was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Ara defense, Marquinhos de Senna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Noel Correia. The Ara fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Noel Correia should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Farinha booed when Ara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorginho Aparecido didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcus de Souza made a kick off. The supporters of Ara booed when Farinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Peixoto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andrézinho Arantes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 55th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Patrick Neiva. Farinha's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After having played for 56 minutes, Marcus de Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Farinha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcus de Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 60th match minute, Ara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastião Tinoco to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute, Magno Mineiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 64 played minutes Andrézinho Arantes shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Farinha's Patrick Neiva to catch but Andrézinho Arantes was lucky. It became 2-3 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. A collision led to Ara getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Jorginho Aparecido hit a great ball. Marcus de Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Noel Correia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 71 played minutes Ara got a freekick which was hit by Sebastião Tinoco. Marquinhos de Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Noel Correia having to interfere. Marquinhos de Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Noel Correia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yuri Meira hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. 79 minutes into the match, Farinha's Eugênio Severo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Ara's Sebastião Tinoco suffered a sore thigh after 83 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Augusto Peixoto charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Augusto Peixoto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Farinha getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Augusto Peixoto hit a great ball. José Vítor Campidelis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Patrick Neiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marquinhos de Senna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 90th minute, Miguel de Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Noel Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus de Souza in the 91st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ara's zone, Marcus de Souza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Noel Correia came out of the goal and Marcus de Souza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Farinha players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
