In the 4th minute, Josué Soeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ladainha SC's Cléber Batista got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo de Alcântara in the 17th minute of play forced Ladainha SC's goalkeeper Jefferson Bittencourt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute of the match Claudinei de Moraes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jefferson Bittencourt showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Osvaldinho Rossi charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Osvaldinho Rossi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Itaquari FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Serginho Cabral hit a great ball. In the 36th minute Alessandro de Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Ferraz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute of the match, Oséas de Alcântara tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jefferson Bittencourt saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 38 played minutes Ladainha SC got a freekick which was hit by Cléber Batista. After having played for 43 minutes, Alessandro de Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ladainha SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alessandro de Lara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Osvaldinho Rossi struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Humberto Ferraz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ladainha SC. Júlio Fantini's late challenge caught a Ladainha SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Júlio Fantini helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Itaquari FC's Júlio Fantini got a free kick in the 47th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Ladainha SC's Josué Souza couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 48th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Itaquari FC. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alessandro de Lara stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jefferson Bittencourt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clóvis Paiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. 55 minutes into the match, Itaquari FC's goalkeeper Humberto Ferraz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Josué Soeiro. If Alessandro de Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 61 minutes into the game, Antônio Carlos Bueno was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Itaquari FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ladainha SC the free kick. A collision led to Itaquari FC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Antônio Carlos Bueno hit a great ball. When Ladainha SC's Alessandro de Lara, in the 62nd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Ladainha SC. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Alessandro de Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ladainha SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alessandro de Lara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Humberto Ferraz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A hard shot 67 in the game by Josué Soeiro from a close distance when the talented Humberto Ferraz managed to make a qualified save. Itaquari FC's players were relieved. In the 68th minute Serginho Cabral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jefferson Bittencourt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Itaquari FC reached it. 84 minutes into the match, Itaquari FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alessandro de Lara came free, but Humberto Ferraz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alessandro de Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jefferson Bittencourt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oséas de Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jefferson Bittencourt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Oséas de Alcântara went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Through an outstanding action, after 94 minutes, Humberto Ferraz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Itaquari FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
