Bebeto Alvarenga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastião Antunes in the 24th minute of the match. Ian Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Bebeto Alvarenga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Garcias. In the 34th minute, Benedito Donato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arí Valladares hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Garcias's goalkeeper Jefferson Breckenfeld, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ian Montenegro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bebeto Alvarenga having to make a save. If Ian Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sebastião Antunes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastião Antunes got free with Bebeto Alvarenga in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Jacuhype getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Benjamim Souto hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Belmiro Rosado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jefferson Breckenfeld was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. The referee ignored Jacuhype's protests and gave Valdemar Vidal a yellow card for diving instead. Valdemar Vidal kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. After 79 played minutes Garcias got a freekick which was hit by Egídio Loyola. 80 minutes into the match, Jacuhype's Erasmo Schmidt broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Garcias's goalkeeper Jefferson Breckenfeld, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Belmiro Rosado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jacuhype's supporters rose to their feet, but Belmiro Rosado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jefferson Breckenfeld breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Garcias's zone, José Maria Mendonça stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jefferson Breckenfeld came out of the goal and José Maria Mendonça tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Belmiro Rosado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
