An unexpectedly hard shot by Tales Neto in the 16th minute of play forced Garcias's goalkeeper Jefferson Breckenfeld to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Garcias's Jefferson Breckenfeld played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovani Paiva in the 19th minute of play. Garcias's Sebastião Antunes got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Sebastião Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute, Geovani Paiva made a precise shot to the right of Jefferson Breckenfeld. Garcias's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 38 played minutes, Badajos FC's Ricardo Viana shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jefferson Breckenfeld came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Badajos FC reached it. Badajos FC's Geovani Paiva got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Garcias's Sebastião Antunes got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Geovani Paiva made a kick off. Sebastião Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 62 minutes into the game, Garcias's Sebastião Antunes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sílvio Luiz Medeiros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Sílvio Luiz Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastião Antunes in the 67th minute of play. After 68 played minutes Badajos FC got a freekick which was hit by Diogo Antunes. In the 70th minute, Geovani Paiva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Garcias's Jefferson Breckenfeld proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Garcias from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Badajos FC booed when Garcias was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egídio Loyola didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute, Tales Neto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jefferson Breckenfeld didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tales Neto went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Sílvio Luiz Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ian Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 98 minutes, Tales Neto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Badajos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tales Neto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Badajos FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
