In the 9thth minute of the game Armando Tande who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chafariz AD's Raí Eger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Uainiame SS's goal looked a bit too open when Osmar Macedo came free, but Pedro Luiz Couto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Cláudio Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chafariz AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Cláudio Martins was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Luiz Couto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Osmar Macedo struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Pedro Luiz Couto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chafariz AD. After 31 played minutes, Chafariz AD's Simão Valadares shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Pedro Luiz Couto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chafariz AD reached it. If Cláudio Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Chafariz AD booed when Uainiame SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evaristo Vidal didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Uainiame SS's zone, Cláudio Martins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Luiz Couto came out of the goal and Cláudio Martins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Júlio Diniz hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Osmar Macedo was the one to do the kick off. Uainiame SS's Evaristo Vidal got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Armando Tande sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dagoberto Carneiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raí Eger having to interfere. In the 61st minute Armando Tande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raí Eger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Armando Tande scored 1-0 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Raí Eger, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Tande in the 66th minute of play forced Chafariz AD's goalkeeper Raí Eger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Evaristo Vidal took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raí Eger. Raí Eger dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Osmar Macedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Pedro Luiz Couto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Armando Tande came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Uainiame SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armando Tande couldn't finish the play.
