The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Orlando Salgado helped the player get up and apologised. Claudinei Hoffmann didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Fortinho's Cássio Faustino shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Cássio Faustino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei Hoffmann having to interfere. Caroa FC's Carlinhos Varela got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Iuri Saraiva kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Carlinhos Varela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Bertassi having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Caroa FC's Fernando Bertassi threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marquinhos Velasco, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Anselmo Ceresso might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claudinei Hoffmann. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anselmo Ceresso ran back to his position shaking his head. After the first half Fortinho were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Cássio Faustino made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Orlando Salgado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fernando Bertassi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Carlinhos Varela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Fernando Bertassi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anselmo Ceresso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Claudinei Hoffmann having to make a save. When Cássio Faustino came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Fortinho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cássio Faustino couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Fortinho getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Dedé Nascimento hit a great ball. When Fortinho's Cássio Faustino in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Caroa FC's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, Caroa FC's Claudinei Hoffmann got control of the ball when Anselmo Ceresso tried to sneak it across the goal line. Anselmo Ceresso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anselmo Ceresso got free with Claudinei Hoffmann in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 74 minutes into the match, Fortinho's goal looked a bit too open when Carlinhos Varela came free, but Fernando Bertassi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlinhos Varela recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marquinhos Velasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernando Bertassi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marquinhos Velasco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Cássio Faustino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlinhos Varela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Fernando Bertassi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernando Bertassi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlinhos Varela in the 93rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anselmo Ceresso got free with Claudinei Hoffmann in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 96 played minutes Caroa FC got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Rezende. In the 97th minute of the match Jardel Bueno sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Claudinei Hoffmann skillfully saved the ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
