Jarbas Valladares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beto Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Valdomiro Borges had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jarbas Valladares. Chagas SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valdomiro Borges was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Betinho Tasso charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Betinho Tasso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Estulandia getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Betinho Tasso hit a great ball. Estulandia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Perry Shackleton scored to the left of an out of position David Proença, making the score, 2-1. David Proença showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Perry Shackleton in the 34th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 35th minute by Gerson Zanette got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 40 minutes into the match, Chagas SC's goal looked a bit too open when Beto Nascimento came free, but Jarbas Valladares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jarbas Valladares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beto Nascimento in the 44th minute of the match. Jarbas Valladares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdomiro Borges, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jarbas Valladares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beto Nascimento in the 47th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Perry Shackleton was the one to do the kick off. Jarbas Valladares came out and tried to block the shot, but Jarbas Guerra slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 60th minute. 64 minutes into the match, Estulandia's goal looked a bit too open when Perry Shackleton came free, but David Proença reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Gerson Zanette managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chagas SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerson Zanette was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Proença breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Estulandia getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Betinho Tasso hit a great ball. 72 minutes into the match, Estulandia's goal looked a bit too open when Perry Shackleton came free, but David Proença reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Perry Shackleton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Proença having to interfere. Jarbas Valladares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdomiro Borges in the 77th minute of play. A collision led to Estulandia getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Jarbas Guerra hit a great ball. In the 87th minute Gerson Zanette shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Proença saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cássio Velloso hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Chagas SC's Jarbas Valladares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Chagas SC from getting a goal against them. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 90th minute of the game. One of Chagas SC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Estulandia:s goal. When the match had been going on for 93 minutes, Estulandia's Pedro Paulo Neiva got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jarbas Valladares. Chagas SC's Perry Shackleton got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
