Sidney Meirelles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juninho Batista in the 7th minute of the match. Grêmio de Santa Maria's Sidney Meirelles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabrício Nóbrega in the 9th minute of play. Juninho Batista struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Sidney Meirelles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bola AD. After 12 played minutes Grêmio de Santa Maria got a freekick which was hit by Valério Figueiredo. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raí Marinho couldn't finish the play. 95 minutes into the game, Juninho Batista cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Sidney Meirelles was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bola AD's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
