In the 2nd match minute, SORRISO E. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldo Catarinense to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Armindo Abraão managed to get in a good position for a shot. OS DRAGÕES INFERNAIS's supporters rose to their feet, but Armindo Abraão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Orlando Vianna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luís Eduardo de Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlando Vianna having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, SORRISO E. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Luís Eduardo de Azevedo came free, but Orlando Vianna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Eduardo de Azevedo in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Orlando Vianna saved SORRISO E. C. from getting behind. In the 25th minute, one of SORRISO E. C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SORRISO E. C.. Célio Duarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Giuseppe Tande tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Orlando Vianna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armindo Abraão in the 33rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Naldo dos Santos during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, SORRISO E. C.'s Naldo dos Santos got a free kick in the 34th minute. Luís Eduardo de Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlando Vianna having to interfere. Orlando Vianna didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Armindo Abraão went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, OS DRAGÕES INFERNAIS's Humberto Alvarenga got a free kick in the 46th minute. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luiz Paulo Massa made a kick off. When Armindo Abraão came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the OS DRAGÕES INFERNAIS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armindo Abraão couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Eduardo de Azevedo in the 52nd minute of play forced SORRISO E. C.'s goalkeeper Orlando Vianna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute, Célio Duarte left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SORRISO E. C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Giuseppe Tande stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Célio Duarte's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Orlando Vianna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Eduardo de Azevedo in the 64th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Eduardo de Azevedo in the 66th minute of play forced SORRISO E. C.'s goalkeeper Orlando Vianna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Luís Eduardo de Azevedo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Orlando Vianna, 1-4. After 81 played minutes SORRISO E. C. got a freekick which was hit by Bernardinho Simão. Orlando Vianna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Eduardo de Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Orlando Vianna made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Armindo Abraão sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Eduardo de Azevedo in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Orlando Vianna saved SORRISO E. C. from getting behind. 90 minutes into the match, OS DRAGÕES INFERNAIS's Armindo Abraão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Orlando Vianna narrowly saved just below the crossbar. SORRISO E. C.'s Orlando Vianna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save SORRISO E. C. from getting a goal against them. Armindo Abraão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlando Vianna having to interfere. If Armindo Abraão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. OS DRAGÕES INFERNAIS played a much better game than SORRISO E. C. and deserved their victory. The SORRISO E. C. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
