Noite Sombria Fc's Durvalino Carioca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Noite Sombria Fc from getting a goal against them. In the 10th minute Prospero Bilbo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaristo Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 17 played minutes Descarreto AD got a freekick which was hit by Tomé Teixeira. A collision led to Noite Sombria Fc getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Aluísio Alvarenga hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Noite Sombria Fc's goalkeeper Durvalino Carioca, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 24 minutes into the game, César Cearense cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Durvalino Carioca was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aluísio Alvarenga during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 27 played minutes Noite Sombria Fc got a freekick which was hit by Aluísio Alvarenga. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elói Saldanha got free with Durvalino Carioca in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Prospero Bilbo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Descarreto AD's César Cearense got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Prospero Bilbo might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Evaristo Magalhães. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Prospero Bilbo ran back to his position shaking his head. 37 minutes into the match, Jimeno Serafo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Evaristo Magalhães. Descarreto AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jimeno Serafo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Evaristo Magalhães came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Noite Sombria Fc's Jimeno Serafo. But to his dismay, Jimeno Serafo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 43rd minute, Jimeno Serafo made a precise shot to the right of Evaristo Magalhães. Descarreto AD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Prospero Bilbo was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Noite Sombria Fc's zone, Percival Paraibano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Durvalino Carioca came out of the goal and Percival Paraibano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Durvalino Carioca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Percival Paraibano, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Noite Sombria Fc's Durvalino Carioca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elói Saldanha in the 57th minute of play. 61 minutes into the game, Descarreto AD's Percival Paraibano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Durvalino Carioca made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. After some careless play in the Noite Sombria Fc defense, Elói Saldanha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Durvalino Carioca. The Noite Sombria Fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Durvalino Carioca should have stopped the shot. Durvalino Carioca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Eduardo Paiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Eduardo Paiva in the 72nd minute of play forced Noite Sombria Fc's goalkeeper Durvalino Carioca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcel Jacinto kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Noite Sombria Fc's zone, Elói Saldanha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Durvalino Carioca came out of the goal and Elói Saldanha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Durvalino Carioca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anísio Gaúcho, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Durvalino Carioca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Percival Paraibano in the 77th minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Noite Sombria Fc's goal looked a bit too open when César Cearense came free, but Durvalino Carioca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Eduardo Paiva scored 4-3 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Durvalino Carioca, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Evaristo Magalhães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prospero Bilbo in the 91st minute of play. In the 91st match minute, Descarreto AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elói Saldanha to maneuver through the defense. Prospero Bilbo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Evaristo Magalhães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Valladares hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Noite Sombria Fc players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Descarreto AD.
