The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Noel Madureira in the 3rd minute of play forced Muirapinima EC's goalkeeper Ernani Paraibano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 5 played minutes Nilson Salgado rounded Binhas Zone's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. In the 8th minute, Olavo Loyola made a precise shot to the right of Teodoro de Godoy. Binhas Zone's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nilson Salgado in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teodoro de Godoy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Olavo Loyola might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Teodoro de Godoy. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Olavo Loyola ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 14th match minute, Binhas Zone was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marquinhos Ortiz to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nilson Salgado in the 15th minute of play forced Binhas Zone's goalkeeper Teodoro de Godoy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olavo Loyola in the 16thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Teodoro de Godoy, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Alberto Hoffmann fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Muirapinima EC's protests and gave Alberto Hoffmann a yellow card for diving instead. Alberto Hoffmann hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Binhas Zone's Teodoro de Godoy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nilson Salgado in the 27th minute of play. Olavo Loyola had several of the Binhas Zone's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 28 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-0 score and a disappointed Teodoro de Godoy as he didn't even see the shot coming. Aleandro Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Ernani Paraibano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Nilson Salgado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Teodoro de Godoy was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Teodoro de Godoy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nilson Salgado in the 45th minute of play. If Olavo Loyola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

In the 54thth minute of the game Olavo Loyola who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Binhas Zone's Teodoro de Godoy was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Binhas Zone's Teodoro de Godoy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nilson Salgado in the 55th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nilson Salgado in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teodoro de Godoy saved Binhas Zone from getting behind. The supporters of Binhas Zone booed when Muirapinima EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Percival do Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. Romário Arantes hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Binhas Zone's goalkeeper Teodoro de Godoy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Noel Madureira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Noel Madureira got free with Ernani Paraibano in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Binhas Zone's Teodoro de Godoy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olavo Loyola in the 78th minute of play. Olavo Loyola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodoro de Godoy having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olavo Loyola in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teodoro de Godoy saved Binhas Zone from getting behind. Binhas Zone's Teodoro de Godoy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olavo Loyola in the 85th minute of play. Noel Madureira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute, Olavo Loyola got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Noel Madureira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Ernani Paraibano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Nilson Salgado was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 96 minutes had been played. In the 97th minute, Nilson Salgado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Muirapinima EC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
