Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nilson Salgado started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Araujo SC's Zé Paulo Schmidt got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Caetano Nogueira was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 4th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Nilson Salgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valdemar da Costa was a little too slow when Nilson Salgado got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 2-0. Olavo Loyola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Valdemar da Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Muirapinima EC's Nilson Salgado got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 29th minute, Augusto Zanette got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alberto Hoffmann kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Muirapinima EC's zone, Augusto Zanette stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernani Paraibano came out of the goal and Augusto Zanette tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Araujo SC booed when Muirapinima EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dário Gerber didn't get a good kick on the ball. Augusto Zanette struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Ernani Paraibano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Araujo SC. A collision led to Araujo SC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Davi Vidal hit a great ball. Olavo Loyola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Valdemar da Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gerson Eger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Augusto Zanette to make the kick off. Valdemar da Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nilson Salgado in the 54th minute of the match. In the 55th minute, Nilson Salgado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valdemar da Costa was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. 58 minutes into the match, Nilson Salgado notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Araujo SC's Valdemar da Costa. Valdemar da Costa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Augusto Zanette fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernani Paraibano having to interfere. Gerson Eger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nilson Salgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wilson Miranda's late challenge caught a Muirapinima EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wilson Miranda helped the player get up and apologised. In the 79th minute, Wilson Miranda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nilson Salgado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Muirapinima EC booed when Araujo SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Cabral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wilson Miranda kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. A collision led to Muirapinima EC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Gilberto França hit a great ball. 87 minutes into the game, Araujo SC's Augusto Zanette nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ernani Paraibano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Gerson Eger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Ernani Paraibano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd match minute, Muirapinima EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Percival do Vale to maneuver through the defense. When Gerson Eger came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Araujo SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerson Eger couldn't finish the play. Davi Vidal took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 96th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ernani Paraibano. Muirapinima EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Muirapinima EC had won after a very even match.
