Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Aílton Barbosa started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Lauro Xavier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aílton Barbosa in the 4th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in El Otro's zone, Cacá Prestes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lauro Xavier came out of the goal and Cacá Prestes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 9th minute, Délio Trigo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cacá Prestes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Lauro Xavier made a huge save. When Lúcio Rezende came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the El Otro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lúcio Rezende couldn't finish the play. If Edgar de Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute of the match, Aílton Barbosa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lauro Xavier saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Roberto Velasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar de Amaral in the 31st minute of play. In the 35th match minute, El Otro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leandro Carioca to maneuver through the defense. The audience held their breath when Válter Barbosa in the 36th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Lauro Xavier's left hand side. 42 minutes into the match, Umararituba's goal looked a bit too open when Lúcio Rezende came free, but Roberto Velasco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Délio Trigo kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Lúcio Rezende made the kick off in the second half. Leandro de Lima lost his temper 63 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After a rather tough play, El Otro's Charles de Queiroz got a free kick in the 68th minute. If Cacá Prestes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leandro Carioca charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leandro Carioca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Leandro Carioca kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Edgar de Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Umararituba's Cacá Prestes got a free kick in the 88th minute. Lauro Xavier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aílton Barbosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the El Otro players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Umararituba.
