Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Arnaldo Oliveira got the match started through his kick off. A collision led to FC Genebra getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Jacinto Silveira hit a great ball. Aílton Barbosa struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Álvaro Pernambucano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Umararituba. Anísio Vianna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Álvaro Pernambucano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Umararituba's goalkeeper Roberto Velasco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 9th minute, Arnaldo Oliveira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The crowd rose to their feet as Umararituba's Válter Barbosa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Álvaro Pernambucano. That made the score 1-1 after 21 minutes of play. Roberto Velasco came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Genebra's Felipe Queirós. But to his dismay, Felipe Queirós quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Álvaro Pernambucano was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Sabino Porto. Umararituba's Roberto Velasco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Francisco de Castro in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th minute Felipe Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Velasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jacinto Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roberto Velasco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

In the 52nd minute, FC Genebra's Arnaldo Oliveira ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Roberto Velasco. Roberto Velasco yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. The supporters of FC Genebra booed when Umararituba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Válter Barbosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frederico Lopez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. João Francisco de Castro took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roberto Velasco. Roberto Velasco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. FC Genebra's Álvaro Pernambucano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conrado Cordeiro in the 62nd minute of play. Jacinto Silveira hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute, Arnaldo Oliveira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arnaldo Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Francisco de Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Velasco having to interfere. Roberto Velasco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo Oliveira in the 73rd minute of the match. Agostinho Vinhas lost his temper 75 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 74 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Genebra! When Frederico Lopez came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the FC Genebra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frederico Lopez couldn't finish the play. Frederico Lopez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When João Francisco de Castro came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the FC Genebra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Francisco de Castro couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Genebra's Jacinto Silveira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Roberto Velasco. That made the score 2-5 after 88 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frederico Lopez in the 93rd minute of play forced Umararituba's goalkeeper Roberto Velasco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Francisco de Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC Genebra's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
