When Víktor Britto came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Roque SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Víktor Britto couldn't finish the play. Afonso Aparecido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albertino Mangueira having to interfere. Afonso Aparecido struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Albertino Mangueira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inter Florida E.C. If Afonso Aparecido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roque SC's Albertino Mangueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Aparecido in the 20th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Sidney Faria kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dé Paraense. That made the score 1-0 in the 23 minute of play. After having played for 31 minutes, Víktor Britto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Roque SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Víktor Britto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jacinto Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albertino Mangueira having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Víktor Britto got free with Dé Paraense in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Víktor Britto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Augusto Faria hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Dé Paraense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Augusto Faria, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Roque SC's zone, Afonso Aparecido stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albertino Mangueira came out of the goal and Afonso Aparecido tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Afonso Aparecido stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Roque SC got a freekick which was hit by Germano Ramalho. After 55 played minutes Roque SC got a freekick which was hit by Sidney Faria. Jacinto Maia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roque SC's Víktor Britto got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Afonso Aparecido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albertino Mangueira having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Jacinto Maia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Albertino Mangueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonso Aparecido in the 91st minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Inter Florida E.C players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
