Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Pandora FC's Kaká Santos in the 12th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Anselmo Palmeira was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Caratianas through an amazing save. Ivo da Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ivo da Fonseca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nuno Lara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Belmiro Madureira's late challenge caught a Caratianas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Belmiro Madureira helped the player get up and apologised. Belmiro Madureira kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Adelino Pombal charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adelino Pombal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 33rd match minute, Pandora FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adelino Pombal to maneuver through the defense. Nuno Lara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Davi Corrêa, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Durval Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Anselmo Palmeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pandora FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caratianas the free kick. Wellington Fontes kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Pandora FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 62nd minute, when Ivo da Fonseca scored to the left of an out of position Nuno Lara, making the score, 0-1. Davi Corrêa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Nuno Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ivo da Fonseca received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nuno Lara came out and tried to block the shot, but Ivo da Fonseca slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 69th minute. If Durval Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaká Santos in the 78th minute of play forced Caratianas's goalkeeper Anselmo Palmeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Pandora FC defense, Davi Corrêa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nuno Lara. The Pandora FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nuno Lara should have stopped the shot. After 83 played minutes Caratianas got a freekick which was hit by Davi Corrêa. When Kaká Santos came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Pandora FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kaká Santos couldn't finish the play. 93 minutes into the match, Durval Barros had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anselmo Palmeira. Caratianas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Durval Barros was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Caratianas played a much better game than Pandora FC and deserved their victory. The Pandora FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
