Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Duarte Donatello started the match with the kick off. Juan Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dalmo Fantini in the 3rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Ivo da Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caratianas's supporters rose to their feet, but Ivo da Fonseca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juan Fonseca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 10th match minute, Turmalina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Víktor Rezende to maneuver through the defense. Ivo da Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anselmo Palmeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Duarte Donatello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Davi Corrêa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vitório Ramalho hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Ivo da Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juan Fonseca stood somewhat misplaced when Davi Corrêa came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 28 minute. After having played for 39 minutes, Wellington Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Turmalina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wellington Figueiredo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 40 minutes into the game, Víktor Rezende was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Turmalina's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caratianas the free kick. A collision led to Turmalina getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Víktor Rezende hit a great ball. After 42 minutes, Davi Corrêa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caratianas and the Turmalina players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 42nd minute, Davi Corrêa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ivo da Fonseca stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Wellington Figueiredo struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Anselmo Palmeira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Turmalina. Anselmo Palmeira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wellington Figueiredo in the 53rd minute. In the 55th minute Davi Corrêa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davi Corrêa in the 57th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ivo da Fonseca in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juan Fonseca saved Turmalina from getting behind. Wellington Figueiredo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Anselmo Palmeira made a huge save. Juan Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Davi Corrêa, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Duarte Donatello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anselmo Palmeira having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 86th minute by Duarte Donatello got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Wellington Figueiredo came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Turmalina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wellington Figueiredo couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duarte Donatello in the 90th minute of play forced Caratianas's goalkeeper Anselmo Palmeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Turmalina's goalkeeper Juan Fonseca, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 94 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Turmalina! The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Caratianas fans cheered their team off the field, for while Turmalina had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
