Jano Ramalho made in the 8th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Breno Teles however managed to control. Percival Severo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Marcos Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fabiano de Castro hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Jacinto Baptista managed to get in a good position for a shot. PETROS FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacinto Baptista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rômulo Bueno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benê Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Rômulo Bueno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcos Porto came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Chupeta SC's Percival Severo. But to his dismay, Percival Severo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Rômulo Bueno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacinto Baptista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Chupeta SC's zone, Jacinto Baptista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rômulo Bueno came out of the goal and Jacinto Baptista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rômulo Bueno didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Maurício Silveira went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After 32 played minutes PETROS FC got a freekick which was hit by Juninho Meira. In the 33rd minute of the match Marcos Esteves shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcos Porto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 35th minute Maurinho Passos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Porto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute, Maurício Silveira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rômulo Bueno was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. If Maurício Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rômulo Bueno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurício Silveira in the 44th minute of the match. Rômulo Bueno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurício Silveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rômulo Bueno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacinto Baptista, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The Chupeta SC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. PETROS FC were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabiano de Castro was the one to do the kick off. PETROS FC's Juninho Meira quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jano Ramalho, made in the 53rd minute of the game. Maurinho Passos kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 59th minute, Percival Severo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Percival Severo's late challenge caught a PETROS FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Percival Severo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 61st match minute, Chupeta SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Percival Severo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabiano de Castro in the 67th minute of play forced PETROS FC's goalkeeper Marcos Porto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 70 minutes of play, PETROS FC's Jacinto Baptista made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rômulo Bueno was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Maurício Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot. PETROS FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Maurício Silveira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rômulo Bueno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Jacinto Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Jacinto Baptista came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the PETROS FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacinto Baptista couldn't finish the play. Maurício Silveira struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Rômulo Bueno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PETROS FC.
