Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Lagarta AD's Donato Cunha started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Chiquinho Cosme's late challenge caught a Novatos SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Chiquinho Cosme helped the player get up and apologised. Samuca Valladares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Dênis Valadares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match, Lagarta AD's goal looked a bit too open when Willian Aguiar came free, but Dênis Valadares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Novatos SS's zone, Sílvio Luís Mello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonsinho Urbano came out of the goal and Sílvio Luís Mello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sílvio Luís Mello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Afonsinho Urbano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Afonsinho Urbano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donato Cunha in the 20th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sílvio Luís Mello in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Afonsinho Urbano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Durval Paraíba hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 27thth minute of the game Donato Cunha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Novatos SS's Afonsinho Urbano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rony Macedo kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Lagarta AD's Guga Pinho couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Novatos SS. Sílvio Luís Mello struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Afonsinho Urbano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lagarta AD. After some careless play in the Novatos SS defense, Chiquinho Cosme kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Afonsinho Urbano. The Novatos SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Afonsinho Urbano should have stopped the shot. Willian Aguiar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Willian Aguiar was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Lagarta AD's Chiquinho Cosme got a free kick in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willian Aguiar in the 65th minute of play forced Lagarta AD's goalkeeper Dênis Valadares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Afonsinho Urbano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donato Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Afonsinho Urbano was a little too slow when Donato Cunha got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 81st minute. The score was now 2-2. The Lagarta AD players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Novatos SS from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
