The Pires fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When Jorge Paes was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 59 minutes had been played. In the 63rd minute, Telmo Fonseca sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Jetiba's Ricardo Lopez didn't even have to move. If Allan Matorin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Ricardo Lopez managed to avoid a goal in the 89thth minute, when Pires's Paulo Renato Ramos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Allan Matorin might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricardo Lopez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Allan Matorin ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Jetiba getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Ian Rodrigues hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Jetiba's zone, Allan Matorin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Lopez came out of the goal and Allan Matorin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
