Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Waldir Faustino made the kick off which started today's match. Deivid Paraibano took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gino Tróia. Gino Tróia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The supporters of Milhans booed when Marombas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vítor Dantas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zézinho Castro hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After 15 played minutes Marombas FC got a freekick which was hit by Adriano de Andrade. If João Francisco Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Marombas FC's Gino Tróia got control of the ball when Deivid Paraibano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jean Paulista's late challenge caught a Milhans's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jean Paulista helped the player get up and apologised. 24 minutes into the match, Milhans's Nilton Vidal broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 25th match minute, Milhans was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Deivid Paraibano to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Waldir Faustino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jean Bastos was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Marombas FC's zone, Deivid Paraibano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. The supporters of Marombas FC booed when Milhans was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evaristo Saraiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Deivid Paraibano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Gino Tróia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A very good chance for a goal. 45 minutes into the match, Deivid Paraibano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gino Tróia. Marombas FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Deivid Paraibano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and João Francisco Montenegro made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers João Francisco Montenegro in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gino Tróia saved Marombas FC from getting behind. Zézinho Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Adriano de Andrade might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jean Bastos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adriano de Andrade ran back to his position shaking his head. Marombas FC's Gino Tróia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deivid Paraibano in the 69th minute of play. Marombas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Waldir Faustino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Deivid Paraibano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gino Tróia having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Milhans fans cheered their team off the field, for while Marombas FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
