Milhans's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Moravania the free kick. In the 12th match minute, Milhans was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Davi Pernambucano to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 13 minutes, Vânderson Mazza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Moravania's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vânderson Mazza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vânderson Mazza was extremely unlucky when he, in the 15th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Hamílton Leão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Francisco Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Hamílton Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Francisco Montenegro in the 20th minute of play. Vânderson Mazza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Jean Bastos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João Francisco Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hamílton Leão having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, Moravania's Vânderson Mazza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jean Bastos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vânderson Mazza was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that João Francisco Montenegro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hamílton Leão was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. 54 minutes into the game, João Francisco Montenegro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vladimir da Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 83rd minute, Váldson Tasso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Deivid Paraibano came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Milhans fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Deivid Paraibano couldn't finish the play. João Francisco Montenegro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hamílton Leão having to make a save. In the 96th minute João Francisco Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamílton Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Milhans players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
