After 6 minutes, Oséias Cruz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caipora EC and the Capoeirana players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 6 played minutes Caipora EC got a freekick which was hit by Oséias Cruz. A collision led to Capoeirana getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Geovanni Almeida hit a great ball. Kaká Faustino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulinho Corrêa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Reginaldo Machado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kaká Faustino was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Custódio Sá made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Víktor Moura sent off a good shot on target. 32 minutes into the match, Caipora EC's goalkeeper Custódio Sá had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Víktor Moura. After a defensive mix-up in Caipora EC's zone, Víktor Moura stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Custódio Sá came out of the goal and Víktor Moura tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 51st minute, Reginaldo Machado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 55 minutes into the match, Caipora EC's goal looked a bit too open when Gonçalo Castro came free, but Custódio Sá reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 55 minutes into the game, Willian Secco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caipora EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Capoeirana the free kick. In the 55th match minute, Caipora EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Willian Secco to maneuver through the defense. In the 59th minute, Elói Fantini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paulinho Corrêa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Kaká Faustino made a huge save. Custódio Sá stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Víktor Moura's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Gonçalo Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Custódio Sá tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Capoeirana's defense didn't have a chance, in the 68th minute, when Paulinho Corrêa scored to the left of an out of position Kaká Faustino, making the score, 0-1. Custódio Sá showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonçalo Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 77th minute, Gonçalo Castro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Custódio Sá was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After 83 played minutes, Caipora EC's Douglas Gaspar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kaká Faustino came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Caipora EC reached it. Custódio Sá made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonçalo Castro in the 86th minute of play. Víktor Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
