Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Nestor Vaz made the kick off which started today's match. After having played for 4 minutes, Adalberto Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Porto Villa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adalberto Barros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulo José Borges during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, CHELSEA's Paulo José Borges got a free kick in the 6th minute. Nestor Vaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Alex Proença tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nestor Vaz hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Alex Proença made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anselmo Bastos in the 14th minute. If Duarte Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alex Proença made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Anselmo Bastos sent off a good shot on target. When Erivaldo Teles fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Porto Villa FC's protests and gave Erivaldo Teles a yellow card for diving instead. Erivaldo Teles kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. When Porto Villa FC's Duarte Moreira in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CHELSEA's goalie prevented a goal. 33 minutes into the match, CHELSEA's goal looked a bit too open when Adalberto Barros came free, but Christian Neiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adalberto Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Christian Neiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Porto Villa FC's goalkeeper Alex Proença had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anselmo Bastos. Alex Proença acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 41st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Clemente Berger. After a defensive mix-up in Porto Villa FC's zone, Anselmo Bastos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alex Proença came out of the goal and Anselmo Bastos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. CHELSEA's Christian Neiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adalberto Barros in the 45th minute of play. If Anselmo Bastos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 52nd minute, Anselmo Bastos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 54th minute, Paulo José Borges hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 57 minutes into the match, Anselmo Bastos notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Porto Villa FC's Alex Proença. Alex Proença was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Anselmo Bastos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th minute Anselmo Bastos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Proença saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adalberto Barros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alex Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anselmo Bastos in the 73rd minute of play. CHELSEA's Anselmo Bastos got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Porto Villa FC's Duarte Moreira in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CHELSEA's goalie prevented a goal. Anselmo Bastos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Proença having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
