Dadá de Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 7 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Pratinha FC's Ronaldinho Melo fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Yuri Gonçalves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcel Sarmento in the 12th minute of play. When José Maria Baiano fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mel FC's protests and gave José Maria Baiano a yellow card for diving instead. José Maria Baiano kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Yuri Gonçalves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldinho Melo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th match minute, Mel FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiago Gabriel da Rocha to maneuver through the defense. Pratinha FC's Marcel Sarmento got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Mel FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Hélio Toledo hit a great ball. With his leg Dadá de Senna managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when Mel FC's Gilson de Souza fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Gilson de Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dadá de Senna having to interfere. Dadá de Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inácio Carvalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. 43 minutes into the game, Gilson de Souza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Dadá de Senna was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Pratinha FC's zone, Inácio Carvalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dadá de Senna came out of the goal and Inácio Carvalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ronaldinho Melo to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Pratinha FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Toninho Sabóia hit a great ball. Yuri Gonçalves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcel Sarmento in the 58th minute. Marcel Sarmento kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 60thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Mel FC's keeper Yuri Gonçalves was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Marcel Sarmento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yuri Gonçalves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldinho Melo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66thth minute of the game Inácio Carvalho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pratinha FC's Dadá de Senna was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Inácio Carvalho came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Mel FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Inácio Carvalho couldn't finish the play. Ronaldinho Melo struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Yuri Gonçalves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pratinha FC. Marcel Sarmento's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 75thth minute, Yuri Gonçalves skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Ronaldinho Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 81 played minutes Pratinha FC got a freekick which was hit by Raí Berger. 84 minutes into the game, Marcel Sarmento cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Yuri Gonçalves was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dadá de Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilson de Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gilson de Souza struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Dadá de Senna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mel FC. After having played for 91 minutes, Gilson de Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mel FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilson de Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Inácio Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 97 minutes into the match, Pratinha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Inácio Carvalho came free, but Dadá de Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pratinha FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
