Kauan Vidal's late challenge caught a Theresina EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kauan Vidal helped the player get up and apologised. In the 16th match minute, Lamin FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kauan Vidal to maneuver through the defense. When Belchior Zilles came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Theresina EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Belchior Zilles couldn't finish the play. Belchior Zilles might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Daniel Severo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Belchior Zilles ran back to his position shaking his head. Belchior Zilles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Giuseppe Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Giuseppe Miranda was the one to do the kick off. Daniel Severo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fabiano Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute Theresina EC were awarded a corner. Gonçalo Palmeira went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Theresina EC's Gonçalo Palmeira to fire away a dangerous shot which Daniel Severo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Gabriel de Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giuseppe Miranda in the 61st minute of play. 62 minutes in the game, Luiz Fabiano Silva fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Daniel Severo having to interfere. Belchior Zilles didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-1 via right post in the game's 63rd minute. Theresina EC's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! If Bernardo Faustino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabriel de Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo Faustino, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Franklin Figueiredo hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After 95 minutes of play Theresina EC's Vitório Passos was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Gabriel de Barros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bernardo Faustino's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. Gabriel de Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo Faustino, who was totally free with the ball in the 99th minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
