Angelo Hames recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Betão Vianna's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jairo Vale was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. After 22 minutes, Betão Vianna mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oliva and the Buique AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee gave Buique AD a penalty, 39 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by André Mendonça, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Oliva's Manfredo Vides. 1-1. Gino do Valle took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manfredo Vides. Manfredo Vides dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2.

The wind increased when Toninho Leme made the kick off in the second half. Adalmo Koehler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Jairo Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Toninho Leme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manfredo Vides showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toninho Leme, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Toninho Leme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Manfredo Vides tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Toninho Leme got free with Manfredo Vides in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 81st minute, Buique AD's Márcio Trancoso seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Márcio Trancoso the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Buique AD protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Márcio Trancoso had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 81st minute of the game. One of Buique AD:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Oliva:s goal. When Hugo Coutinho fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Buique AD's protests and gave Hugo Coutinho a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Oliva booed when Buique AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Coutinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adalmo Koehler struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Jairo Vale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oliva. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adalmo Koehler in the 89th minute of play forced Buique AD's goalkeeper Jairo Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 92 minutes, Hugo Coutinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Buique AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugo Coutinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adalmo Koehler took the ball and in the 98 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jairo Vale. Jairo Vale dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
