Manfredo Vides guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After a rather tough play, Oliva's Reynaldo Seco got a free kick in the 4th minute. Secura's Dieguinho Maranhense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Betão Vianna in the 10th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Betinho Lopes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manfredo Vides was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 22nd match minute, Oliva was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Betão Vianna to maneuver through the defense. André Luís Guimarães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th match minute, Oliva was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reynaldo Gaúcho to maneuver through the defense. André Luís Guimarães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manfredo Vides having to interfere. The audience was convinced that André Luís Guimarães's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manfredo Vides was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Oliva's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nilton Brito ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Willian Vargas managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell André Luís Guimarães to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the game, Délio Pinheiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Secura's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oliva the free kick. Délio Pinheiro kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Dieguinho Maranhense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adalmo Koehler, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Reynaldo Gaúcho hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. 65 minutes into the match, Oliva's goalkeeper Manfredo Vides had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Betinho Lopes. Dieguinho Maranhense didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Oliva's Adalmo Koehler shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. André Luís Guimarães recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 81st minute André Luís Guimarães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manfredo Vides saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Betinho Lopes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manfredo Vides was out of position in the 85 minute of play, and André Luís Guimarães capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. André Luís Guimarães really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Secura's Dieguinho Maranhense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Betão Vianna in the 89th minute of play. If Betinho Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Secura could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Oliva throughout the match.
