Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Elivélton Bastos started the match with the kick off. Elivélton Bastos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Váldson Melo hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Nado's Dito Simões got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Nado booed when Sallesopolis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norberto Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacinto da Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dito Simões, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Nildo Berger's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adolfo de Senna was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. After 23 played minutes Nado got a freekick which was hit by Gonçalo Freire. The Nado fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adolfo de Senna should have stopped the shot. Nado's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dito Simões was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tiaguinho Peixoto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto da Silva having to interfere. Nildo Berger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Adolfo de Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
