The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Anísio Bueno had great luck who in the 29thth minute grab hold of the ball when Dedé Coutinho from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. If Dedé Coutinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Cassununga EC booed when Imaculada FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waldemar Quintal didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77thth minute of the game Sebastião Figueiredo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cassununga EC's Anísio Bueno was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Cassununga EC's Bruninho Bueno got a free kick in the 77th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Toninho Quadros had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anísio Bueno. Cassununga EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Toninho Quadros was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2.
