Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Edvaldo Maranhense started the match with the kick off. If Jacek Smolarek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dudu Vinhas in the 6th minute of play forced Passos FC's goalkeeper Abdelaziz Kornrumpf to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7th minute, Jacek Smolarek got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Passos FC's Abdelaziz Kornrumpf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos de Queirós in the 9th minute of play. Edvaldo Maranhense in the 11thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dalmo Arruda, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 13 minutes into the game, Angelo Paraíba was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Passos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pirajuhia the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 12th minute of the game. One of Passos FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Pirajuhia:s goal. After 17 played minutes Passos FC got a freekick which was hit by Geovânio Zanette. After some careless play in the Pirajuhia defense, Edvaldo Maranhense kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dalmo Arruda. The Pirajuhia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dalmo Arruda should have stopped the shot. Abdelaziz Kornrumpf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dudu Vinhas in the 27th minute of play. A hard shot 28 in the game by Edvaldo Maranhense from a close distance when the talented Dalmo Arruda managed to make a qualified save. Pirajuhia's players were relieved. The supporters of Passos FC booed when Pirajuhia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos de Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Pirajuhia getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Carlos de Queirós hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edvaldo Maranhense in the 33rd minute of play forced Pirajuhia's goalkeeper Dalmo Arruda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jacek Smolarek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 42 minutes, Gláuber Mendes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pirajuhia and the Passos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Passos FC booed when Pirajuhia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gláuber Mendes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacek Smolarek, 43 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Edvaldo Maranhense kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dalmo Arruda. That made the score 2-1 in the 44 minute of play. Jacek Smolarek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalmo Arruda having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dudu Vinhas was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes Pirajuhia got a freekick which was hit by Dudu Vinhas. Jacek Smolarek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Dalmo Arruda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Pirajuhia's Gláuber Mendes got a free kick in the 57th minute. The Passos FC fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when Passos FC's Edvaldo Maranhense looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edvaldo Maranhense in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dalmo Arruda saved Pirajuhia from getting behind. In the 69th minute, Jacek Smolarek left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Passos FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Abdelaziz Kornrumpf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dudu Vinhas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jacek Smolarek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalmo Arruda having to interfere. Wincenty Brzonkala kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. With a little luck, Passos FC's Abdelaziz Kornrumpf got control of the ball when Carlos de Queirós tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 81st minute of the match, Hílton Abraão tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Abdelaziz Kornrumpf saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Dalmo Arruda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacek Smolarek in the 82nd minute of the match. Geovânio Zanette hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. After 92 played minutes, Pirajuhia's Hélio Macedo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Abdelaziz Kornrumpf came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pirajuhia reached it. Abdelaziz Kornrumpf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hílton Abraão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 97 minutes, Edvaldo Maranhense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Passos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edvaldo Maranhense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee ended the match the Passos FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
