The crowd rose to their feet as Esmeril FC's Gonçalo Varela slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of André Luiz Ribeiro. That made the score 1-0 after 14 minutes of play. Luís Fabiano de Carvalho was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 18 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tiago Gabriel Mandrak during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Esmeril FC booed when Tateco SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiago Gabriel Mandrak didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th minute, Geovani Matos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Armindo Soeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geovani Matos, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. In the 59th minute of the match, Geovani Matos tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Armindo Soeiro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Tateco SS were awarded a corner in the 61th minute after Esmeril FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rubinho Mangueira took the corner. Rubinho Mangueira made a great header on Tateco SS's corner, it was just that Esmeril FC's Armindo Soeiro managed to reach the ball for a save.
