Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jardel Brito kicked off to start the match. After having played for 3 minutes, Igor Loyola managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Entremontes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Igor Loyola was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 4 minutes into the match, Mutunopolis's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Loyola came free, but Márcio Veiga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Entremontes's Cássio Furtado got a free kick in the 8th minute. Fausto Corrêa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vânderson do Nascimento read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Entremontes's Jardel Brito got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fausto Corrêa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Vânderson do Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Fausto Corrêa notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Entremontes's Vânderson do Nascimento. Vânderson do Nascimento was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Pedro Luís Braga came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Mutunopolis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Luís Braga couldn't finish the play. Jardel Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Luís Braga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vânderson do Nascimento having to interfere. Márcio Veiga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jardel Brito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fausto Corrêa to strike the kick off in the second half. Márcio Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Loyola in the 51st minute of play. The supporters of Entremontes booed when Mutunopolis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrézinho Mineiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Igor Loyola managed to get in a good position for a shot. Entremontes's supporters rose to their feet, but Igor Loyola was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Márcio Veiga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mutunopolis's Márcio Veiga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jardel Brito in the 56th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Igor Loyola got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Pedro Luís Braga came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Mutunopolis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Luís Braga couldn't finish the play. Pedro Luís Braga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 65 minutes into the match, Entremontes's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Corrêa came free, but Vânderson do Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Igor Loyola got free with Márcio Veiga in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pedro Breckenfeld during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jardel Brito in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Márcio Veiga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Charles Veloso might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Márcio Veiga. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Charles Veloso ran back to his position shaking his head. Márcio Veiga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jardel Brito, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Vânderson do Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Corrêa in the 92nd minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Entremontes's goal looked a bit too open when Andrézinho Mineiro came free, but Vânderson do Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
