When Serji SS's Gildo Rodrigues in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pico EC's goalie prevented a goal. Pico EC's Dráusio Baiano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Pico EC from getting a goal against them. In the 10th minute Gildo Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dráusio Baiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Paulo José Branco came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Serji SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo José Branco couldn't finish the play. In the 13thth minute of the game Gildo Rodrigues who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pico EC's Dráusio Baiano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 17th minute David Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Sabóia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pico EC's Dráusio Baiano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Pico EC from getting a goal against them. When Flávio Campidelis fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pico EC's protests and gave Flávio Campidelis a yellow card for diving instead. Flávio Campidelis hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Paulo José Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulo José Branco struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Dráusio Baiano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Serji SS. In the 30th minute, Wiliam Amaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Reginaldo Breckenfeld's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute, Dráusio Baiano skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpected shot in the 38th minute by Paulo José Branco got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Paulo José Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 44 minutes into the match, Pico EC's goalkeeper Dráusio Baiano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulo José Branco. In the 47th match minute, Pico EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wágner Mandrak to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gildo Rodrigues made a kick off. If Wiliam Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wiliam Amaral got free with Alex Sabóia in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Wiliam Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pico EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wiliam Amaral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alex Sabóia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 63 minutes into the match, Serji SS's goalkeeper Alex Sabóia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wiliam Amaral. Gildo Rodrigues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráusio Baiano having to interfere. Alex Sabóia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Barros in the 67th minute of the match. A collision led to Serji SS getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Donatello Rossi hit a great ball. If Wiliam Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pico EC's Dráusio Baiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gildo Rodrigues in the 73rd minute of play. If Paulo José Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dráusio Baiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gildo Rodrigues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th minute, Pico EC's David Barros dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Pico EC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
