Luiz Paulo Marquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dé de Medeiros, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Hugo Orlando Gatti received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Luiz Paulo Marquez came out and tried to block the shot, but Hugo Orlando Gatti slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 19th minute. Abel Simões sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. S.E.Palmeiras's Enéas Maabo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Simões in the 26th minute of play. Hugo Orlando Gatti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Simões in the 31st minute of play forced S.E.Palmeiras's goalkeeper Enéas Maabo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Júlio Leal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, S.E.Palmeiras's Enéas Maabo got control of the ball when Abel Simões tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Abel Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Abel Simões's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Enéas Maabo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Júlio Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Enéas Maabo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Pindobacu SC booed when S.E.Palmeiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valério Oliveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Enéas Maabo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abel Simões in the 67th minute. In the 70th minute, Dé de Medeiros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Enéas Maabo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júlio Leal in the 75th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, S.E.Palmeiras's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Abel Simões fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Luiz Paulo Marquez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dé de Medeiros in the 86th minute of play. 91 minutes into the game, Hugo Orlando Gatti cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Luiz Paulo Marquez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dé de Medeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
