Wellington Vasconcelos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henrique Paulista, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Renatinho Xavier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toninho Quirino in the 12th minute of the match. A collision led to Pontes FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Renato Galvão hit a great ball. After 19 minutes, Renato Galvão mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pontes FC and the Eritima players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th minute of the match Wiliam Linares shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Renatinho Xavier showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Michel de Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 24th play minute Norberto Lago came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Wellington Vasconcelos. 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Toninho Quirino during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 30 minutes, Iuri Santana mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Eritima and the Pontes FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Eritima getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Iuri Santana hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Ernani da Silveira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Renatinho Xavier was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. If Ernani da Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geovani Bezerra got in the 44th minute a good position and tried a long shot which to a great surprise passed a very astonished Wellington Vasconcelos. This was a shot which ended in a score of 2-0. Ernani da Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renatinho Xavier having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Henrique Paulista to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 62 minutes, Henrique Paulista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pontes FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henrique Paulista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ernani da Silveira's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Renatinho Xavier firmly grabbed it by the left post. Ernani da Silveira might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Renatinho Xavier. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ernani da Silveira ran back to his position shaking his head. Norberto Lago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Wellington Vasconcelos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
