Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Umberto Medeiros got the match started through his kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Umberto Medeiros kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Otávio Barral. That made the score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. In the 7th match minute, Itapeim SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrianinho Pires to maneuver through the defense. Gilberto Arce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldinho Prado having to interfere. Gilberto Arce blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ronaldinho Prado having to make a save. When Leonel Chaves came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Souzel AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonel Chaves couldn't finish the play. Souzel AD's Umberto Medeiros got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 23 minutes into the match, Itapeim SS's goalkeeper Otávio Barral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leonel Chaves. In the 27th minute, Souzel AD's Umberto Medeiros ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Otávio Barral. Otávio Barral yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Gerson Freire charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gerson Freire the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 30th match minute, Souzel AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerson Freire to maneuver through the defense. 32 minutes into the game, Umberto Medeiros recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Otávio Barral. Umberto Medeiros showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Leonel Chaves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Umberto Medeiros in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Otávio Barral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Umberto Medeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

The wind increased when Duda Senna made the kick off in the second half. Ronaldinho Prado made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Gilberto Arce sent off a good shot on target. 60 minutes into the game, Souzel AD's Umberto Medeiros nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Otávio Barral made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. When Gerson Freire was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 63 minutes had been played. The supporters of Itapeim SS booed when Souzel AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerson Freire didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Leonel Chaves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Otávio Barral was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Umberto Medeiros scored 5-0 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Otávio Barral, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Leonel Chaves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Otávio Barral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonel Chaves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Otávio Barral having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Bruno Fernandes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Souzel AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Bruno Fernandes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Otávio Barral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 94th minute Leonel Chaves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otávio Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute, Simão Hermes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gilberto Arce who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 98thth minute tested the skills of Ronaldinho Prado when he managed to save the team from getting behind. There was no doubt that Souzel AD were the better team. Souzel AD's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
