Duda Senna started the match with the kick off. Dráuzio Vides made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Gilberto Arce sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Duda Senna kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dráuzio Vides. That made the score 2-0 in the 10 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonçalo Britto in the 14th minute of play forced Itapeim SS's goalkeeper Otávio Barral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15thth minute of the game Sílvio Luiz Velloso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Itapeim SS's Otávio Barral was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gonçalo Britto might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Otávio Barral. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gonçalo Britto ran back to his position shaking his head. Otávio Barral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sílvio Luiz Velloso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th match minute, Itapeim SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frederico Carioca to maneuver through the defense. Gilberto Arce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute, Itapeim SS's Duda Senna ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dráuzio Vides. Dráuzio Vides yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. If Gonçalo Britto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sílvio Luiz Velloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juan Maranhense during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Juan Maranhense hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
