A collision led to Macambara getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Juan Maranhense hit a great ball. Sílvio Luiz Velloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulo José Loyola charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulo José Loyola the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 10th minute, Paulo José Loyola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gonçalo Britto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 15thth minute of the game Sílvio Luiz Velloso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Souzel AD's Ronaldinho Prado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sílvio Luiz Velloso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ronaldinho Prado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. When Leonel Chaves came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Souzel AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonel Chaves couldn't finish the play. Gonçalo Britto struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Ronaldinho Prado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Macambara. Macambara's Dráuzio Vides proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Macambara from getting a goal against them. Gonçalo Britto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Souzel AD's Umberto Medeiros slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dráuzio Vides. That made the score 1-0 after 35 minutes of play. With 39 minutes on the clock, Ramón Fernandes commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Souzel AD fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 39th minute. Penalty! Souzel AD:s Ronaldinho Prado showed great skill when he stopped Fabrício Silveira:s penalty. Leonel Chaves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Dráuzio Vides tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Macambara's Sílvio Luiz Velloso got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Gonçalo Britto could shoot a difficult shot in the 72nd minute, which Ronaldinho Prado however easily saved by the left post. Ronaldinho Prado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Luiz Velloso in the 74th minute of play. Leonel Chaves struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Dráuzio Vides didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Souzel AD.
