The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Didi de Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Didi de Salles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arthur Baiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Dráusio Silveira hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arthur Baiano in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Didi de Salles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arthur Baiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Didi de Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claudinho Fantini was a little too slow when Naldo Paranaense got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 1-0. Claudinho Fantini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Naldo Paranaense, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 29th minute, Naldo Paranaense ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Claudinho Fantini was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. César Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Didi de Salles having to interfere. César Gonçalves struck a weak shot in the 49th minute. Didi de Salles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barauna FC. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Arthur Baiano got free with Didi de Salles in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Felippe Meirelles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 67 minutes into the match, Barauna FC's goal looked a bit too open when Felippe Meirelles came free, but Claudinho Fantini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by César Gonçalves in the 76th minute of play forced Comum EC's goalkeeper Didi de Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Didi de Salles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from César Gonçalves in the 79th minute of play. After 80 played minutes Barauna FC got a freekick which was hit by Kaká Almeida. In the 83rd match minute, Comum EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chiquinho Santana to maneuver through the defense. Arthur Baiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Didi de Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Didi de Salles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from César Gonçalves in the 87th minute of the match.
