When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Otávio de Almeida took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ademar Carioca to make any attempt to save it. In the 8th match minute, Apiuna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dedé Machado to maneuver through the defense. Gino Urbano kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. When Apiuna's Vito Soeiro in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Queimondo's goalie prevented a goal. Vito Soeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Olívio Simão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcus Pitta took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Olívio Simão. Olívio Simão dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Ernesto de Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tibúrcio Esteves blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ademar Carioca having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Apiuna's Jonathan Netto got a free kick in the 27th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Queimondo's Ernesto de Queirós slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ademar Carioca. That made the score 2-1 after 29 minutes of play. Falcão do Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Queimondo's goalkeeper Olívio Simão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jonathan Netto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Olívio Simão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Apiuna's zone, Ernesto de Queirós stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ademar Carioca came out of the goal and Ernesto de Queirós tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gino Urbano kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
52 minutes into the match, Queimondo's goal looked a bit too open when Vito Soeiro came free, but Olívio Simão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olívio Simão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vito Soeiro in the 53rd minute of play. Falcão do Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Olívio Simão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 60th minute, Ernesto de Queirós ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ademar Carioca was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. In the 64th minute, Apiuna's Vito Soeiro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Olívio Simão. Olívio Simão yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-2. Ademar Carioca stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ernesto de Queirós's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Falcão do Vale got free with Olívio Simão in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Vito Soeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Apiuna's supporters rose to their feet, but Vito Soeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olívio Simão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 76th minute Vito Soeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olívio Simão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Queimondo's Gino Urbano got a free kick in the 77th minute. Vito Soeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcus Pitta's late challenge caught a Queimondo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcus Pitta helped the player get up and apologised. After 82 played minutes Apiuna got a freekick which was hit by Marcus Pitta. 83 minutes into the match, Queimondo's Pedro Luiz Mineiro broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Jonathan Netto's late challenge caught a Queimondo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonathan Netto helped the player get up and apologised. Jonathan Netto hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Apiuna's zone, Otávio de Almeida stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ademar Carioca came out of the goal and Otávio de Almeida tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 88th minute, Jonathan Netto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Otávio de Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ademar Carioca having to interfere. Ernesto de Queirós's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ademar Carioca read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Otávio de Almeida recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Apiuna players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Queimondo.
