After a defensive mix-up in Abaete FC's zone, Rômulo Proença stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edu Pereira came out of the goal and Rômulo Proença tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Sinistro Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Geovanni Guedes hit a great ball. Adalmo Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulinho Gonçalves in the 59th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Abaete FC had played much better football throughout.
