The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th match minute, Martim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albertinho Carneiro to maneuver through the defense. When Albertinho Carneiro came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Martim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albertinho Carneiro couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Sinistro Futebol Clube's Beto da Silva got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 23rd minute, Rômulo Proença left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sinistro Futebol Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sinistro Futebol Clube fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 36th minute. Penalty! In the 44th minute, Albertinho Carneiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adalmo Santos was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Geovanni Guedes charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Geovanni Guedes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Martim booed when Sinistro Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geovanni Guedes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Sinistro Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Albertinho Carneiro came free, but Adalmo Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, Martim's Albertinho Carneiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adalmo Santos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Sinistro Futebol Clube's Adalmo Santos got control of the ball when Sidnei Sena tried to sneak it across the goal line.
