He was immediately shown a red card. In the 24th minute of the match Vieiras EC got a corner. Artur Alvim's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Murilo Veloso ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Sidney da Silva got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Flávio Lopes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 26 minutes into the game, Sidney da Silva cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Flávio Lopes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 31 minutes into the game, Pedro Luís Vides cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. The wind increased when Jaime Arantes made the kick off in the second half. Vinícius Fonseca blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dalmo Batista having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedro Luís Vides got free with Flávio Lopes in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Claudinho Cruz scored 2-4 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Flávio Lopes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 59 minutes into the match, Jaime Arantes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Flávio Lopes, 2-5. In the 66th minute of the match, Jaime Arantes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Flávio Lopes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a little luck, Artur Alvim's Flávio Lopes got control of the ball when Pedro Luís Vides tried to sneak it across the goal line. Flávio Lopes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jaime Arantes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-7 in the 74 minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Artur Alvim's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Arantes came free, but Flávio Lopes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucas Tin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalmo Batista having to interfere. Bruno Cavalcante might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dalmo Batista. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bruno Cavalcante ran back to his position shaking his head. Claudinho Cruz hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Lucas Tin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Dalmo Batista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Flávio Lopes made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Claudinho Cruz sent off a good shot on target. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Vieiras EC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
