Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Jaime Arantes made the kick off and thus started the match. Marquinhos Pitta hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Nando Carioca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalmo Batista having to interfere. Frank Furlan hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Roberto Arósio came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Vieiras EC's Pedro Luís Vides. But to his dismay, Pedro Luís Vides quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Roberto Arósio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedro Luís Vides went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. When Sidney da Silva fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vieiras EC's protests and gave Sidney da Silva a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th minute, Sidney da Silva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Nando Carioca came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Brigue fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nando Carioca couldn't finish the play. Dalmo Batista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nando Carioca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Brigue's zone, Jaime Arantes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roberto Arósio came out of the goal and Jaime Arantes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gugu Brodel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Dalmo Batista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tostão Oliveira hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Murilo Veloso shot from long distance in the 35th minute, but Roberto Arósio was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. If Jaime Arantes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaime Arantes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Roberto Arósio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roberto Arósio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Arantes, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nando Carioca stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gugu Brodel in the 51stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dalmo Batista, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Vieiras EC's Jaime Arantes got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 73rd minute Sidney da Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Arósio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 80 minutes, Pedro Luís Vides managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vieiras EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Luís Vides was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vieiras EC's Dalmo Batista proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Vieiras EC from getting a goal against them. After 90 played minutes Brigue got a freekick which was hit by Tostão Oliveira. The supporters of Vieiras EC booed when Brigue was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Meirelles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roberto Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Luís Vides in the 94th minute of play.
