The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 10 minutes, Raimundo Freitas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quiniporo SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raimundo Freitas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luiz Eduardo Vidal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adalmo Nunes having to make a save. After 13 played minutes Veadinho AD got a freekick which was hit by Ulisses Jacinto. In the 14th minute of the match Zé Augusto Cavalcante shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adalmo Nunes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 16 minutes of play, Veadinho AD's Inácio Dante made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dino Marques was left in no man's land by his defense there! Veadinho AD's Inácio Dante got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luiz Eduardo Vidal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adalmo Nunes having to interfere. In the 29thth minute of the game Raimundo Freitas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Veadinho AD's Adalmo Nunes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Waldir Cavalcante fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Veadinho AD's protests and gave Waldir Cavalcante a yellow card for diving instead. After 30 played minutes Veadinho AD got a freekick which was hit by Waldir Cavalcante. After 38 played minutes Veadinho AD got a freekick which was hit by Luizinho de Barros. Raimundo Freitas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 42 minutes, Raimundo Freitas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quiniporo SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raimundo Freitas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luizinho de Barros to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Veadinho AD's goalkeeper Adalmo Nunes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luiz Eduardo Vidal. In the 57th minute, Waldir Cavalcante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Raimundo Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Eduardo Vidal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adalmo Nunes having to interfere. After having played for 64 minutes, Raimundo Freitas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After 65 played minutes Veadinho AD got a freekick which was hit by Waldir Cavalcante. In the 69th minute, Ademir Pitta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Adalmo Nunes managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when Quiniporo SS's Luiz Eduardo Vidal fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 78th match minute, Veadinho AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bebeto Teixeira to maneuver through the defense. Raimundo Freitas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adalmo Nunes having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sidnei Pontes during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Veadinho AD getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Sidnei Pontes hit a great ball. Raimundo Freitas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th match minute, Quiniporo SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chico Rosado to maneuver through the defense. 89 minutes into the match, Veadinho AD's goalkeeper Adalmo Nunes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luiz Eduardo Vidal. Ulisses Jacinto was shown his second yellow card after 92 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Veadinho AD's Ulisses Jacinto got a free kick in the 93rd minute. 96 minutes into the match, Quiniporo SS's Raimundo Freitas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adalmo Nunes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Adalmo Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimundo Freitas in the 97th minute of play. Veadinho AD's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
