Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Maurinho da Costa kicked off to start the match. Tales Salgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto da Silveira in the 4th minute of the match. When Vítor Travassos came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Grêmio FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vítor Travassos couldn't finish the play. Maurinho da Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maurinho da Costa struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Luís Eduardo Tepedino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grêmio FC. In the 21st minute, Carlinhos Paraibano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was beautiful to see Grêmio FC's Fernandinho Coelho in action when he in the 23rd minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! In the 24th minute, Renan Hermes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maurinho da Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Eduardo Tepedino having to interfere. Vítor Travassos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Maurinho da Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vítor Travassos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Vítor Guedes hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Maurinho da Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Eduardo Tepedino having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Vaccaria EC's goal looked a bit too open when Maurinho da Costa came free, but Luís Eduardo Tepedino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ernesto da Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Ernesto da Silveira made the kick off in the second half. Maurinho da Costa took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luís Eduardo Tepedino. Luís Eduardo Tepedino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 61 minutes into the match, Grêmio FC's Vítor Travassos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luís Eduardo Tepedino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ernesto da Silveira struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Tales Salgado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vaccaria EC. Luís Eduardo Tepedino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurinho da Costa in the 67th minute of play. Pedrinho Diniz's late challenge caught a Grêmio FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedrinho Diniz helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Vaccaria EC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Pedrinho Diniz hit a great ball. Grêmio FC's Vítor Travassos got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ernesto da Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tales Salgado having to interfere. Luís Eduardo Tepedino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurinho da Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maurinho da Costa in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luís Eduardo Tepedino saved Vaccaria EC from getting behind. Vítor Travassos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Luís Eduardo Tepedino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Eduardo Tepedino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurinho da Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Grêmio FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Vaccaria EC for a fine match.
